Terms Of Reference

Membership

1. Membership is open to individuals and organisations who have a commitment to and an interest in Anti-Racism Work, and who agree to adhere to the Principles, Aims and Objectives of the Network. A Core Group is appointed for the purposes of organising the work of the Network.

2. The name of the Network is Limerick Network Against Racism (LNAR). The Network is conscious that Limerick City and County has a hinterland spreading into surrounding counties. The Network will thus not prohibit membership from these areas.

Decision-Making

• Decisions are made by consensus in the Network.

Meetings

• Meetings of the Network take place approximately every month. Click here for details of next meeting.
• The venue for Meetings of the Network are rotated between Member Organisation's Premises.
• The outline of the Agenda for meetings is set at the previous meeting of the Network. Additions to the Agenda should be forwarded to the Core Group not less than 10 working days before the next meeting.

Maintenance of the group

• A Core Group of up to five people is appointed by the Network.
• The functions of the Core Group are the following:
  • Administration of Network
  • Convening Network
  • Recording decisions of Network
  This group is responsible for ensuring that at each meeting there is a
  • Chairperson/Facilitator
  • Secretary/Minute Taker
  and for appointing Contact Person(s) for the Network
• The Core Group arrange the administration of Network Finances should the need arise.
• The Core Group arrange for the induction of new members to the work of the Network and to the Aims and Objectives of Network.
